I'm Genevieve, the heart behind this space, and I'm delighted to share a bit about my journey and what we represent. My mission is straightforward—to make the practice of yoga and meditation accessible to all abilities and levels. I meet you where you are, providing a compassionate and supportive environment.
As a certified Yoga and Meditation Therapist, my journey includes training in Power Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Kids Yoga, and Yoga and Meditation Therapy. I've also explored trauma-informed teaching, yoga for pain management, gut health, the food-mood connection, and yoga for relationships, among other areas.
Yoga has been a transformative force in my life, shaping my perspectives and daily practices. Beyond my yogic journey, I find joy in various sports and activities, from my early years in ice hockey to coaching gymnastics for 15 years, practicing martial arts, golfing, and engaging in gym workouts.
Becoming a mom to two incredible twin girls, one with Down syndrome, has added profound purpose to my life. Our family adventures in camping and travel light up our days. This personal journey fuels my commitment to making yoga accessible to individuals of all abilities.

Genevieve conveniently holds the classes after school one afternoon and one class before school in the school grounds. My daughter's strength and co-ordination has improved out of sight over the last year as commented by her occupational therapist and seen by ourselves. I would highly recommend Brisbane Yoga for any child as my daughter loves attending the classes and looks forward to them each week. "Genevieve is an amazing yoga Therapist. My Son looks forward to his weekly class with her. She gives very clear but yet concise instructions to him and she knows how to keep him engaged throughout the session. Sometimes he refuses to follow, Genevieve quickly tries with the music & other methods so that it's fun. The session has breathing routines, asanas and some chanting to practice correct breathing techniques. I can see my son has gained lots of confidence to do more asanas and to stay on the task. She is able to guide all in the class who are all in various stages of their yoga journey from beginner to more advanced with great knowledge and her gentle smile. I particularly joined to help with posture as I was experiencing neck pain. Genevieve incorporated many poses to help with this and my pain has significantly lessened.
